REDUCTION OF RISK OF LEGIONELLA PNEUMOPHILA IN OPEN COOLING CIRCUITS
Time and again news report about outbreaks of legionella disease in areas near cooling towers. Careful water treatment, together with regular maintenance reduces the risk of bacteria growth in the cooling circuit. But one step more leads to an even higher performance of these measures: the use of anti-legionella components. Years ago we recognized the risk that bacteria in open cooling circuits may reach the environment. Therefore we developed the SANIPACKING program consisting of anti-legionella fills, drift eliminators and grid packings.
SANIPACKING® Fills
SANIPACKING® Drift Eliminator TEP SP130
SANIPACKING® shows good effectiveness. No growth of Legionella pneumophila on the plastic surface itself and in the area around the sample.
In addition to the use of SANIPACKING®, regular maintenance and correct water treatment is needed to avoid the growth of Legionella pneumophila elsewhere in the cooling water system.
Prevents growth of Legionella pneumophila and other bacteria
It has a lasting effect against Legionella pneumophila and a large number of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria on the surface of the fill. It works by disrupting the metabolic process of unwanted micro organisms at the cell wall level, thus interrupting their ability to function, grow and reproduce.
Controls biofilm
Practically complete inhibition of Pseudomonas aeruginosa on the surface of the fill which represents the major biofilm component in industrial water systems.
Durable effectiveness
Good leach resistance. Wash resistant. Three years minimum, to five years full effectiveness, under normal conditions.
Safe to man and the environment
The product does not contain any heavy metals or arsenic.
